WHAT

The Calm meditation course is also known as Vedic Meditation (VM). It is a natural, effortless mental technique that uses a sound to deepen the mind and powerfully REST the body. The researched benefits are best experienced when you practice for 20 minutes twice daily.

 

HOW TO LEARN

The first step is for a fully qualified VM teacher to come in and host a 45 minute Introductory Talk on meditation. This session is designed to outline the science, technique and structure of the course with Q & A. If participants are keen to elect learning the meditation, there are 4 consecutive sessions conducted ideally over 4 days (this can be adjusted to a shorter time frame). 

 

THE CALM COURSE 

SESSION 1
The first session is 45 minutes and done one to one with a gratitude ceremony. You will be given your personalised sound (mantra) and receive the essential mechanics of the technique to take home and practice.

SESSIONS 2,3,4
The following three sessions are 1.5 - 2 hours and will develop a theoretical understanding of the technique, covering topics such as the nature of the mind and body, stress, thoughts and the exponential benefits that arise from regular practice. There is also practical experience of meditation to refine the subtleties and verify your experience, ensuring you feel competent to integrate the technique into your daily working life.
