Lis is a down to earth and engaging mindfulness teacher. She has been influential in the wellness space for over 7 years and is fluent at making ancient wisdom practices relatable to modern living. She believes they're invaluable life skills to access our most calm and creative self. Lis facilitates regular classes and workshops in studios and workplaces for wellbeing and performance.
Her discovery of these techniques began over a decade ago as a way to manage stress and mental illness in her family. The resilience she experienced from her regular practice naturally motivated her to delve into the knowledge and science of meditation. In 2007 she completed her Meditation Training in India and the USA.
After graduating as a meditation teacher she moved to the big smoke of London and began teaching this simple technique to people from all warps of life. In between courses she was still a devoted practitioner of Yoga, influenced by the heat of Ashtanga, the alignment of Iyengar and the stillness of Yin. She found that to thrive in a city it was not only about sitting quietly but also moving intelligently. In 2010 she embarked on her 240-hours Yoga Teacher Training and has been an avid learner in areas of anatomy, yogic philosophy and psychology.
Her popular yoga classes are unique and intelligently sequenced to progress practitioners in finding suppleness and strength. She believe's yoga is all about returning to your natural state of balance and facilitates this through yogic themes, pranayama and mindfulness. Her classes are accessible, intuitive and light hearted.
Since returning to her hometown of Bondi, she has also been involved in facilitating corporate wellbeing programs. Providing practical tools for stress management and emotional intelligence to enhance productivity and creativity in the workplace.
